Tōhoku Main Line

The Tōhoku Main Line (Japanese东北 本 线, Tohoku Honsen ) is a Japanese railway line which runs in Aomori Prefecture between the stations Ueno in Tokyo and Aomori Prefecture.

The 159.9 km long section between the Ueno train stations and Kuroiso Nasushiobara is often called Utsunomiya Line (宇 都 宫 线) means.

The previous section between Morioka and Hachinohe operated since 2002 by the Iwate Ginga tetsudō and Aomori tetsudō. The rest of the way to Aomori to be transferred in December 2010 also to Aomori tetsudō.
