Tom Hilde

Tom Hilde André ( born September 22, 1987 in Bærum ) is a Norwegian ski jumper. He won so far with the Norwegian team four silver medals at the Nordic World Ski Championships team competitions. In addition, a bronze medal comes at the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver in 2010.

Career

After winning the championship summer on the normal hill in 2004 Hilda celebrated in the season 2004/ 05 significant successes in the junior jumping under the Norges Cup. In the course of the season he won four events for themselves. In the spring of 2005 he was the Norwegian Junior Championship second in the large hill and fourth on the normal hill. Together with the Norwegian team, he finished sixth at the Junior World Championships in Rovaniemi. The following year, Hilde moved up in the men's team. He won in Vegårshei jumping of the Norges Cup and was at the Norwegian Championship on the normal hill sixth. Finally, in Lillehammer he gave on 10 March 2006 his debut in the World Cup and immediately reached Rank 19

Since the season 2006/ 07 he is part of the national team of the Norwegian ski jumper. This laid the Finnish national coach Mika Kojonkoski fixed in an eliminator jumping. In September 2007, he moved from Asker to Lillehammer to save yourself the long drive to the training. In early April 2008, he took a minor role as a flower boy in his favorite series Hotel Cæsar. He has two sisters: his older brother Terje, who is also a ski jumper, and his younger brother Truls.

At the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver in 2010, he reached in jumping on the normal hill together with the Czech Roman Koudelka the 12th Place. With the team he won the bronze medal in the team competition.

At the opening of the Four Hills Tournament 2011 in Oberstdorf Hilde broke a vertebra. After just two months break, he was in ski flying in Oberstdorf on 17 February 2012 his comeback. In June 2013 Hilde had surgery on the ankle, as he had felt a lot of pain.
