Tom Preissing

Thomas Joseph Price Sing ( born December 3, 1978 in Arlington Heights, Illinois ) is an American professional ice hockey defender who has a contract with EHC Biel in the National League A since July 2011.

Career

By 1999, Tom Price Sing played in the United States Hockey League with the Green Bay Gamblers and also brought good performance, but he did not come in the NHL Entry Draft. From the summer of 1999 he went to Colorado College. There he played four years for the ice hockey team and was nominated in his time at the College even once for the Hobey Baker Memorial Award, which is awarded to the best college players. His last year was also his best. He led the team as captain, scoring 52 points in 42 games.

After leaving college in 2003, he received a contract with the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League, and could enforce the same in the squad, so he played the entire season in the NHL. The NHL season 2004/ 05 dropped out because of the lockout. Nevertheless, to get match practice, he changed how many NHL players to Europe. Price Sing was awarded a contract with the Krefeld Penguins in the DEL.

The season 2005/ 06 he was playing in San Jose after the lockout ended, and they went very well for him with 43 points in 74 games. This was the second highest value that a defender of the Sharks could ever achieve at the time.

In summer 2006, Price Sing part of a transfer deal between the San Jose Sharks, Chicago Blackhawks and Ottawa Senators. Ottawa sent Bryan Smolinski and Martin Havlát to Chicago, but sent the Blackhawks Mark Bell to the Sharks and Michal Barinka and a draft pick to Ottawa. Tom Price Sing finally had along with teammate Josh Hennessy to the Ottawa Senators.

Tom Price Sing is one of the defenders who draw attention to themselves in the offensive. In Ottawa, he played often with Christoph Schubert in a defensive line. Price Sing played an important role in the defense of the Senators and had at the end of the season with the best 40 plus / minus value among NHL defenders. The Senators moved in to the finals for the Stanley Cup, in which they, however, the Anaheim Ducks documents.

In summer 2007, Price Sing returned to California and signed a contract with the Los Angeles Kings.
