Triumph Southern Cross (1932 )

The Triumph Southern Cross was a small roadster, the Triumph Motor Company in 1932 as the successor to the Super 8 built parallel to Super 9.

As the Super 9 had the Southern Cross already the new exchange -controlled motors to Coventry Climax - patents. The four-cylinder engines had 1087 cc displacement and 40 hp ( 29 kW) at 4000 rpm or 1232 cm ² displacement and 42 hp ( 31 kW) at 4500 rpm. Both versions were available with different wheelbases ( 2343 mm or 2642 mm).

In subsequent years, the models Gloria and Gloria 10 12 came off the Southern Cross.
