Trochtelfingen is a town in the Swabian Alb in the district of Reutlingen in Baden- Württemberg, about 25 km south of the district town of Reutlingen.

Geographical location

Trochtelfingen lies in the valley of the river Seckach. This leads to the south of the city in the Lauchert.

Kleinengstingen, Hohenstein, Pfronstetten, Gammertingen, Burladingen and Sonnenbühl.

They belong to on Gammertingen ( Sigmaringen ) and Burladingen ( Zollernalbkreis ) to the district of Reutlingen.

Boroughs

The city consists of five boroughs: Hausen, Mägerkingen with the castle Stallburg Hielock, Steinhilben, Trochtelfingen and Wilsingen. The official designation of the districts is done in the form " Trochtelfingen ... ". The hamlet Haid is within the boundaries of the city Trochtelfingen before the municipal reform in Baden -Württemberg and is bordered to the north by the municipality Kleinengstingen, the district Trochtelfingen consists of the district Trochtelfingens before the municipal reform without the hamlet Haid, the rest of the city are physically identical to the to the municipal reform independent municipalities of the same name. In Trochtelfingen the municipal council is elected according to the system of non-genuine part of local choice, so the neighborhoods form designated as a residential district constituencies. In the four districts Hausen, Mägerkingen, Steinhilben and Wilsingen villages were set up for the purposes of Baden-Württemberg municipal code, each with its own mayor and Ortschaftsrat as its chairman.

For Hausen district includes the village of Hausen and the houses Lauchertmühle to the other districts each include only the same hamlets, villages and the core city Trochtelfingen.

In the urban area there are several Outbound, now-defunct towns and castles; the place Wettishausen in Steinhilben district west of the road to Meidelstetten in today's hallway Wettling Hausen, probably originated in the 14th century, was in 1379 and 1477 mentioned as Wetißhusen. In the north of the city Trochtelfingen before the municipal reform is the Outbound castle Haideck, it was destroyed in 1311. A little north of the central city is located in the hallway Eidlingen the deserted village Nidlingen or Ridlingen. The above-mentioned 1369 as Ridlingen and 1421 as Nidlingen village was probably abandoned after the founding of the city. History

The area around Trochtelfingen was settled a long time, in 2007, Celtic tombs were found during excavation work. The name Trochtelfingen suggesting an early Alemannic founding of the oldest settlement at the site and an associated person's name, this first village is well to suspect below the church at the Seckach. Trochtelfingen was first documented in 1161 as Truhdolvingin.

From 1182 to 1219 Pfalzgraf Rudolf von Tübingen was the Lord of Trochtelfingen. The property changed from the Count Palatine of Tübingen on the counts of Gammertingen to the Counts of Hohenberg. Finally, the city came to Württemberg in 1310. 1316 bequeathed Count Eberhard I Trochtelfingen his daughter Agnes and his son, Count Heinrich von Become mountain Trochtelfingen - Sigmaringen. In 1534 came the reign of Anna of becoming a mountain, the mother of Count Joachim, to the Counts and later Princes of Fürstenberg. With the mediatization 1806, the rule Trochtelfingen was part of the Principality of Hohenzollern - Sigmaringen. 1850 Trochtelfingen became Prussian Hohenzollern as part of the country. In the era of National Socialism is one of five camps of the female Reich Labor Service (RAD ) was in Trochtelfingen in the former district of Sigmaringen.

1972 Trochtelfingen was assigned to the district of Reutlingen. The current district Wilsingen belonged, however, to the district reform in Baden- Württemberg in 1973 to the district Münsingen and came from there to the Reutlingen district. Squatting at the Lauchert and Mägerkingen contrast belonged previously to the district of Reutlingen. The Teilort Steinhilben, the front of the district reform was as Trochtelfingen to Sigmaringen County, will be released on November 1, 1247 on a certificate of the Knight of Wurmlingen.

In the 1970er/1980er-Jahren a town center redevelopment took place in Trochtelfingen.

Religions

The districts Trochtelfingen, Steinhilben, Wilsingen and Haid are mainly dominated Roman Catholic. They belong to the deanery Sigmaringen. Wilsingen belongs to the deanery Reutlingen - Zwiesel. The rest of the city are dominated Protestant.

The council has 19 members in Trochtelfingen. The turnout at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 was 54.3 % and showed the following distribution of seats:

The council consists of the elected honorary councilors and the mayor as chairman. The mayor is entitled to vote in the local council.

Mayor

The mayor is elected for a term of eight years. The current third term of Friedrich Bisinger ends in April 2015.

The blazon of the arms is: " Split of red and silver, pale as a front ( upright ) golden deer rack, rear a Latin cross with black rechtshin curly toe. "

The golden deer cane on a red background indicates the membership of the House Württemberg. The silver and black come from the earlier Hohenzollern districts Steinhilben and Trochtelfingen.

Structures

Some houses of the old town date from the 15th and 16th centuries. Much of the old city walls and a turret is obtained.

Economy and infrastructure

On the grounds of the former Eberhard- Finckh barracks communities Kleinengstingen, Hohenstein and Trochtelfingen have founded in 1994 the business park Haid.

Traffic

The town lies on the national road 313 ( Plochingen - Stockach ). This connects the districts of Mägerkingen, Trochtelfingen and Haid in the north and in the south with Reutlingen with Sigmaringen. The county road K 6736 leads to the district Steinhilben and from there on to the K 6739 Wilsingen. The district Hausen is connected through the country road with 385 Mägerkingen.

The railway line Gammertingen - Kleinengstingen the Hohenzollern state railway runs through the neighborhoods Mägerkingen and Trochtelfingen. In the context of related planning tramtrain Neckar -Alb, there are plans on the track to set up an S -Bahn line.

The public transport is guaranteed by the integrated transport system Neckar -Alb -Donau ( NALDO ). The city is located in the comb 226
