Tümer Metin
Hallows Metin ( born October 14, 1974 in Zonguldak ) is a Turkish television football commentator and former football player.
Football career
In the club
The beginnings
Hallows Metin started his professional football career in the 1993/94 season with the Turkish third division Kilimli Belediyespor. After one season, he joined the then Turkish second division Zonguldakspor and completed 94 Official matches and scored 17 goals in three years.
Samsunspor
In September 1997, shortly after the beginning of the 1997 /98 23 -year-old was transferred to the Turkish first division side Samsunspor. In his first season Hallows Metin reached with his team to fifth place in the league and qualified for the UEFA Intertoto Cup. Later in July 1998, he celebrated his European Cup debut in the first leg of the second round of the UEFA Intertoto Cup against Lyngby BK. With the Red and Whites Hallows Metin managed to collect the semi-finals of the European Cup and retired from to eventual UEFA Intertoto Cup winners Werder Bremen.
In his last season (2000/ 01) at Samsunspor he showed his best performance by Metin Hallows in 32 league games scored ten goals as a midfielder. He graduated in four years, over 100 duty games and scored more than ten goals.
Beşiktaş Istanbul
In summer 2001, the 27 -year-old joined free transfer together with his team-mates İlhan Mansız the traditional club Beşiktaş Istanbul, as his contract expired at his previous club. In the season 2001/ 02 he scored the golden goal in extra time for a 3-2 win in the quarter final of the Turkish Cup, thus pulling his team semi-finals. Later they reached the Turkish Cup final, but lost it against Kocaelispor.
The following season Hallows Metin won with the black and whites of the 100-year existence, the Turkish club championship (2003), they also reached the quarter- finals of the UEFA Cup.
In the 2003 /04 Beşiktaş Istanbul qualified as reigning Turkish champions last season 's UEFA Champions League and he played in September 2003, his UEFA Champions League debut against Lazio. In January 2004, Hallows Metin extended his contract until June 2006 before it would have expired at the end of the season and planned to end of his career to play here.
In his last season (2005/ 06) in Beşiktaş Istanbul he won with his team on 3 May 2006 the Turkish Cup, defeated in the final local rivals Fenerbahce. Hallows Metin was instrumental in the profits of the Cup title by shooting three goals in seven Cup stakes. Of Hallows Metin has two in the cup final, scored the 1-0 and the 3-2 victory (aet) in the 113 minutes of play.
Fenerbahce
In late May 2006, announced that the 31 -year-old would go free transfer for 2006/ 07 to Fenerbahce and then wrote there a three year contract, because his contract had expired at his last club. With this change to local rivals he drew the ire of Istanbul Beşiktaş and their trailers because Hallows Metin made in black-and- white statements during his time as he would never play for a team in Turkey except Beşiktaş.

FIFA World Cup 2006 / Qualification
The 30 -year-old Hallows Metin was only again nominated for the Nationanlmannschaft under the new national coach Fatih Terim, who was in office since August 2005. In September and October 2005, he scored important goals; in the last three qualifying matches of the group stage for the World Cup 2006, 2-1 against Denmark, the 1-0 victory against Ukraine and the 1-0 win over Albania. Qualified them again as runners-up in their qualifying group for the play-offs in November 2005, where Hallows Metin also was used in both games. UEFA Euro 2008 / qualification
The qualifying matches for the 2008 European Hallows Metin came to six inserts and each scored a goal in wins over Malta and Greece, where he was allowed to play from the start. They qualified as runners- time directly for the finals of the UEFA Euro 2008 in Austria and Switzerland.
In May 2008, the 33 -year-old was in good shape, so Fatih Terim nominated him for the final squad for the European Championship. In addition Hallows Metin was one of the oldest, most reliable and konstansten midfielders in the squad. Metin Hallows came in the second preliminary round group stage match against Switzerland and used in the further course of the tournament he was suffering from a groin injury, in addition he was struck and weakened off the bench in the final minutes in the semi-final against Germany. This semi-final was his last international match for Turkey after Turnieraus gave Hallows Metin end of his career in the national team known.
