Geography
Unterbreizbach is in the lower Ulstertal. In the town empties as a left tributary of the eponymous Unterbreizbach, by the inhabitants colloquially as " the brook " means. Striking elevations of Lohberg ( 322.6 m above sea level. HN) in the east and the Ulsterberg ( 487.2 m above sea level. HN) in the south and the huge hat Kalihalde between village and Unterbreizbach. The southern districts are located in the catchment area of the Oechse with the left inflow Sünna. The Dietrich Berg ( 668.9 m above sea level. HN) and the saddle mountain ( 464.1 m above sea level. HN) limit this side valley.

The population of the districts ( 30 June 2009 ): Deicheroda - 57 inhabitants, Hüttenroda - 51 inhabitants, Mosa - 67 inhabitants, Mühlwärts - 48 residents and Poppberg 0 inhabitants / uninhabited.
History
For the first time the church was mentioned in 1390 as well to low - Breyzbach documented. The village in the precincts of the town Vacha ( in Hessian Office Vacha ) was dominated by agriculture until the early 20th century. The residents of the place local nobles and their followers from the surrounding communities Rasdorf, Mansbach, Völkershausen and Buttlar have left no architectural traces in place. The Unterbreizbacher Church is an evangelical branch of the Church Vachaer City Church and was ordained in 1773. Blazon: " From silver and green right diagonally divided; above a red five-petalled rose, in the middle of a golden, lined with a black high cross heart; below a halved silver wheel axle. "
The community Sünna located on one of the most ancient trade routes, the former main axis Mainz or Frankfurt - Erfurt or Leipzig. This evolutionarily formative feature found in the coat of arms by the appearance of a half- axle its expression. The coat of arms appears in the rose symbolizes, with its five petals the solidarity of the five districts of the municipality. It is a form of the Luther Rose. Economy and infrastructure
Mining
The economy of the municipality is characterized by the potash industry. In the nucleus Unterbreizbach the chemical factory of the K S AG is located. Here, the crude salt from the mine operation is processed into fertilizer. Between Sünna and Buttlar at the B84 is located at Mühlwärts of the work Unterbreizbach belonging Shaft II, which is primarily used for the cable ride the Kali - mate. The place Unterbreizbach has a central sewage treatment plant to which the districts RAESA and Pferdsdorf are connected. The district Sünna is connected to the sewage treatment plant in Vacha. Due to the small number of inhabitants in the districts Deicheroda, Mosa, Hüttenroda, Mühlwärts and Poppberg no connection to the central wastewater treatment can permanently done for these settlements.
Traffic
- Unterbreizbach by a railway station used to be on the Ulstertalbahn. A siding is however only about the run by K S pit connection train to Heimboldshausen to the Werra Railway. The route is used exclusively for freight.
- The district Sünna had a breakpoint on the built to bypass the former inner- German border and now disused railway line to Vacha, which was served 1954-1956 in passenger transport.
- The national road 84 passes through Sünna. About the Thuringian Road 2604 and County Road 8 in osthessischen Hersfeld-Rotenburg district is following the state road 62 and from there to the Federal Highway 4

Cycle paths
Through the municipal area run the following cycle routes:
- The railway cycle path leads from Hessen Hanau on former railway tracks about 250 km through the Vogelsberg and Rhön and ends in Bad Hersfeld.
- The Ulster Cycle Path as part of the Rhön cycleway. This has a total length of 180 km and runs from Bad Salzungen to Hammelburg, through all three states of the Rhön: Bavaria, Hesse and Thuringia.
Education
In the district RAESA is the State normal school at Ulsterberg, the associated primary school is to be found in Sünna. In Unterbreizbach, Sünna and horse village there are local daycare.
Clubs
The most important sports club is the SV Kali Unterbreizbach whose main activities are in football. The men's team plays in the Oberliga West district of Thuringia Thuringian the Football Association, the women's team in the county league.
