Urban Community of Marseille Provence Métropole

The Urban Community of Marseille Provence Métropole is a French association of municipalities ( Communauté urbaine ) in the department of Bouches -du -Rhône and Provence -Alpes- Côte d' Azur region. It was founded on 7 July 2000.

The 18 member municipalities represent only a part of the communities in the " Aire métropolitaine Marseillaise " dar. are missing, for example, Aix -en- Provence, Aubagne, Martigues and the region Fos -sur -Mer, which form the centers of other community associations: the Communauté d' ' agglomà du Pays d' Aix, the Communauté d' Aubagne et de Pays d' agglomà l' Étoile, the Communauté d' agglomération du Pays de Martigues and the Syndicat d' agglomà nouvelle Ouest Provence.
