Vadim Malakhatko

Wadym Malachatko (Ukrainian Вадим Малахатко; born March 22, 1977 in Kiev) is a Ukrainian chess player.

Life

Wadym Malachatko is married to the woman Grand Master ( WGM ) and International Master (IM) Anna Zozulia. Since June 2006, he and his wife play for the Belgian Chess Federation.

Achievements

1999 he received the Grand Master title.

For Ukraine, he played on the 2000 Chess Olympiad in Istanbul at second reserve board, the Ukraine ended up in third place. Also in the victory of the Ukrainian team in 2001 in Yerevan in the World Team Championship, he played at second reserve board.

In 1997 and 1998 he participated in the Ukrainian Single Cup finals, which was held in Alushta, and finished in fifth place, respectively. 1999 and 2004 he was the Kiev champions.
