Vencelas Dabaya
Vencelas Dabaya Tientcheu ( born April 28, 1981 in Kumba, Cameroon ) is a French weightlifter Cameroonian descent.
Sporting career
In his first Olympic Games in Athens in 2004 Dabaya went to Cameroon and finished second in the class up to 69 kg in fifth place with 327.5 kg in the total. He was also the flag carrier of the Cameroonian delegation. In November 2004, he acquired French nationality and occurs since then for France.
2005 World Championships in Doha Dabaya could with 324.0 kg behind Shi Zhiyong and Lee Bae -young bronze in the duel, and one each in the snatch and jerk to win.
2006 Dabaya approached at the European Championships in Wladyslawowo this time and won silver in the duel with 325.0 kg, silver and jerk with 180.0 kg in the snatch and bronze with 145.0 kg. The winner was the Bulgarian Demir Demirew. At the World Cup in the same year in Santo Domingo Dabaya won his first world title duel with a capacity of 332.0 kg, this time in front of Shi and Demirew.
A year later Dabaya decided the European Championships for himself by scoring 331.0 kg. Tigran Gevorg Martirosyan lifted the same load, however, was difficult.
