Viktor Khryapa
Viktor Vladimirovich Chrjapa (Russian Виктор Владимирович Хряпа, born August 3, 1982 in Kiev, Ukrainian SSR ) is a Russian professional basketball player. The 2.06 m tall small forward plays since the spring of 2008 for the PBK CSKA Moscow in the Russian PBL and in the Euro League. Since the 2002 World Cup is the starting players of the Russian national team.
Club career
Chrjapa began his career in 1999 with the second team of the BK Khimki in the Super League B, from 1999 to 2002 he played for Awtodor Saratov then in the top division. Was referred because of his style of play as clones of Kirilenko, the Russian giants CSKA Moscow was aware of him. After two successful seasons in Moscow, the teams in the NBA were attentive to him; 2004 he was drafted by New Jersey Nets, but passed before the season to the Portland Trail Blazers. For the Blazers, he came in two years quite often as a starter for use, but was for the season 2006 /07, traded to the Chicago Bulls. Where, however, he hardly used, so he asked in early 2008 to the dissolution of his contract and went back into the domestic league for CSKA. With CSKA he won in the following years several times the Russian Championship and the VTB United League. As the biggest successes at the European level are winning the Euro Cup 2008 and two more finals in 2009 and 2012.
National
After several unsuccessful years at international championships Chjapa won with the national team, the European Basketball Championship 2007 in Spain. After he was not part of the squad at Euro 2009, he was at the European Basketball Championships bronze medalist in 2011. Chrjapa participated in the 2008 Olympic Games and the 2012 Olympic Games in part. In London Chrjapa was bronze medalist.
