Vladislav Namestnikov

Vladislav Jewgenjewitsch Namestnikow (Russian Владислав Евгеньевич Наместников; born November 22, 1992 Woskressensk ) is a Russian ice hockey player. Since March 2012, he is with the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League under contract and playing in parallel for their farm team in Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League on the position of the center.

Career

Namestnikow began his career at Chimik Woskressensk, where he first came to appearances for their first team in the second-rate Wysschaja league in the season 2009/10. When CHL Import Draft 2010, he was selected in the first round to 20th position from the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League ( OHL ). The player opted for a move to North America and came as a result in all 68 games of the Knights in the OHL season 2010/11 for use; thereby pass him 30 goals and 68 points scorer. With the Entry Draft 2011 National Hockey League ( NHL) Vladislav Namestnikow was selected as 27 players from the Tampa Bay Lightning in the first round. In parallel, Namestnikow was also selected in the KHL Junior Draft 2011 Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod; the team for which his father Yevgeny Namestnikov was already active. Vladislav described the election as torpedoes matter and that he would not return to Russia.

Following the Draft of the Center at the pre-season the Lightning took part, but was not nominated for the NHL squad and to the further development back to the London Knights sent to the Ontario Hockey League. The Knights Namestnikow was able to continue his points rate from the previous season and achieve 71 points scorer in 63 completed games in the OHL season 2011/12. In the OHL Play-offs 2012, he prevailed with his team in the final against the Niagara IceDogs and won the J. Ross Robertson Cup. In addition, the London Knights earned by the success in the OHL finals to participate in the Memorial Cup in 2012.

In the following season Namestnikow had for Tampa Bay's farm team in Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League ( AHL ) his first jobs as a professional. In the 2012/13 AHL season, he came in 44 games for the Crunch, a field that scored 21 points scorer. In the AHL playoffs 2013 Syracuse reached the final of the Calder Cup, but it lost to the Grand Rapids Griffins.

Internationally

Vladislav Namestnikow represented his country with the Russian national team for the first time at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament in 2009 and came here with his team to fifth place. He had the next international assignment at the World U -17 Hockey Challenge in 2009, when the Russians placed in seventh place. The Ice Hockey World Championship U18 Junior was completed in 2010 with the Russian Namestnikow selection in fourth place and missed again by a medal.

Family

Namestnikows family is deeply rooted in hockey. His father was also a professional hockey player Yevgeny and has worked as a coach since 2010. During his active career he was active among others in the National Hockey League for the Vancouver Canucks, New York Islanders and Nashville Predators. His uncles are Vyacheslav Kozlov and Ivan Nowosselzew.
