Warwick Dalton

Warwick Dashwood Hirtzel Dalton ( born February 19, 1937 in Otahuhu ) is a former racing cyclist from New Zealand.

Warwick Dalton was both a strong road as well as track cyclists. Throughout his career, he won only eleven New Zealand championship titles on the track. 1959 Warwick Dalton finished the Tour of Southland as the winner; he could this success twice, in 1961 and 1969, repeat. He achieved top rankings in other road races such as the Tour of Britain, or Sweden - tour. In 1963 he was also Australian road champion.

Twice, in 1956 in Melbourne and 1960 in Rome Dalton took part in the Olympic Games and played track competitions such as the 1000 -meter time trial and the team pursuit, but was able to win a medal. In the Commonwealth Games 1958 in Cardiff, he won two bronze medals in the time trial on the track and in the individual pursuit.

Warwick Dalton also denied twelve six-day race, but only in Australia and New Zealand. In 1963 he won the Launceston together with Giuseppe Ogna.
