Weightlifting at the 1996 Summer Olympics

The XXVI. 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta ten competitions were held in weightlifting. Venue was the Georgia World Congress Center (Hall E).

Flyweight ( up to 54 kg)

Bantamweight (up to 59 kg )

Featherweight ( up to 64 kg )

Light weight (up to 70 kg)

Middleweight (up to 76 kg )

Light Heavyweight ( up to 83 kg )

  • Marc Huster succeeded with 213.5 kg in pushing even a world record, but did not respond in the official result, since according to Olympic rules only increases of 2.5 kg were approved for the moment. As an official world record the 213.5 kg but have been recognized.

Medium weight ( to 91 kg)

1 heavyweight (up to 99 kg)

2 heavyweight ( up to 108 kg)
