Community

Woluwe-Saint-Lambert/Sint-Lambrechts-Woluwe is primarily a residential community with a high proportion of foreigners, especially from EU countries. To the east of the village there is the medical school of the Université catholique de Louvain. On campus there are several restaurants and pubs, especially the Manhattan Bar, which is very popular with students from the nearby European School Woluwe. In addition, many high-tech companies, radio and TV stations (eg RTL) have settled in the community. Opened in 2006, Wolubillis is the new cultural center of the community, whose theater offers nearly 500 spectators. Shops are located in the Avenue Georges Henri / Georges Henrilaan and Woluwe Shopping Centre. Some of the main axes of the community are named after famous Belgian statesmen, such as after Broqueville and Hymans.

The Linkedemühle ( Lindekemale ) on Woluwebach, first mentioned in 1129, is a special attraction of the community, as well as the neoclassical Malouschloss 1776 and the Spatzenhof Hof ter Musschen near the creek. The Romanesque St. Lamberti Church with tower from the 12th century and built in the Art Deco style of the 1930s community are more similar architectural features.

The metro line 1 opens up the community with seven stations ( Josephine - Charlotte, Gribaumont, Tomberg, Roodebeek, Vandervelde, Alma and Crainhem ).
