Zálesie, Senec District

Zálesie (Slovak 1936-1948 " Gessayov " until 1960 " Gešajov " ) is a municipality in Bratislavskı Region in southwestern Slovakia.

The place is located in the Danubian Lowland on an island between the rivers Danube Small, Biela voda Blatina and, between the municipalities Malinovo and Ivanka pri Dunaji. The capital Bratislava is 14 km to the west, while Senec is 16 km to the northwest.

The territory of the municipality belonged in the Middle Ages to the noble estates of St. Georgen and Bösing. In the 16th century it came to the estate of Eberhardt, which its owners often changed to the 20th century. In the area of ​​the present village was named in Hungarian Tokes, a Grange was built.

After the founding of Czechoslovakia, the situation changed: the land that belonged to the Großgutbesitzern Apponyis was expropriated and parceled out, and it came Slovak colonists mainly from the region Kysuca and Terchová, but also some from around Trnava, around here the country agricultural use. The settlement was founded in 1923, was first in the municipality of Eberhard and was named after the founder Ignatius Gessay " Gessayov ". In 1936, she was finally self-employed, 1948 to Hungarian -sounding name of national political reasons was first changed in Gešajov, 1960, he was finally in Zálesie ( means " near the forest " ) renamed.

Between 1976 and 1990 the community was incorporated to Ivanka pri Dunaji.
