Zoltán Halmay

Imre Zoltán of Halmay [ Zolta ː n hɒlmɒ.i ] ( born June 18, 1881 in Nagymagasfalu; † 20 May 1956 Budapest) was a Hungarian swimmer and swimming coach.

Thrice started by Zoltán Halmay which usually swam without footwork at the Olympic Games: At the Olympic Games in 1900 i Paris, he won silver over 200 meters freestyle and bronze over 1000 meters. 1904 in St. Louis, he won more than 50 yards and 100 yards freestyle, respectively, the gold medal and set it in both cases an Olympic record. Four years later, at the 1908 Olympic Games, he won together with József Munk, Imre Zachar and Béla Las -Torres, the silver medal in the four by 200 meter freestyle and the 100m freestyle. He also participated in the 1906 Summer Olympics in Athens he won a gold and a silver medal.
