Züssow station is a station separation of the homonymous municipality in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern district of Vorpommern - Greifswald. It is located at kilometer 191.9 of Angermuende - Stralsund railway and is the starting point of a branch-line to Wolgast.

Location and construction

The station is located south of the Züssower village center at the intersection of Angermuende - Stralsund railway by the federal highway 111 The branch-line to Wolgast threaded from south of the track.

The plant originally had three platform tracks, track 1 was for the branch-line to Wolgast, track 2 was located at the main platform and track 3 as an intermediate platform to the main tracks. There were a variety of goods and loading tracks.

History

The station was opened along with the stretch - Anklam Stralsund and branch path Züssow - Wolgast on 1 November 1863. The operation was carried out until 1879 from the Berlin- Szczecin railway company. The station building was designed more for the transfer traffic than the normal transit stations. The company also built a horse stable for the resident gentry.
