Buch, Rhein-Hunsrück

Book is a municipality in the Rhein- Hunsrück district, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Kastellaun. Book is a nationally recognized tourist.

Geography

The community book lies on a ridge in the Hunsrück between the deeply cut valleys of the Rother living brook and small stream at about 400 m above sea level. The districts book with 813 inhabitants (as of December 3, 2010 ) and Mörz are located about 45 km south-southwest of Koblenz and 4 km west of Kastellaun.

History

First mentioned in the year 1052. 1332 confirmed Emperor Ludwig the Bavarian Elector Baldwin all the possessions of the archbishopric of Trier, among them Balduinseck and book.
