Kümbdchen

Kümbdchen, official spelling until December 6, 1935: Chümbdchen, is a municipality in the highlands of the Hunsrück in the Rhein- Hunsrück district, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality simmering / Hunsrück.

Geography

The place is located in West slope of Külzbachtals and the Kondbachtal. In place of Kondbach empties into the Külzbach. The Schinderhannes cycle path runs directly through the district.

History

In the vicinity of Kümbdchen there are Stone Age and Roman period archaeological finds. The first written record dates from 1072. Kümbdchen was a district of simmering, the seat of the Duchy of Pfalz- simmering. As of 1673, the town belonged to the Palatinate. With the occupation of the left bank of the Rhine in 1794 by French revolutionary troops of the place is French, 1815, he is assigned to the Kingdom of Prussia at the Congress of Vienna.
