Michelbach, Rhein-Hunsrück

Michel Bach is a municipality in the midst of the hilly landscape of the Hunsrück in the Rhein- Hunsrück district, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Kastellaun.

Geography

History

Michel Bach belonged to the late 18th century country wonderfully for Rear County of Sponheim and was last in the possession of the Duke of Palatinate -Zweibrücken. Within the Office Kastellaun Michel Bach belonged to the administrative and judicial district of Hasselbacher care.

With the occupation of the left bank of the Rhine in 1794 by French revolutionary troops, the place was French, 1798-1814 it belonged to the canton of Kastellaun, who was assigned to the Rhine-Moselle department.
