Postfeld

Post is a municipality in the region Barkauer land in the district of Plön, in Schleswig- Holstein. Bormsdorf situated in the municipality.

Geography and transport

Post box is located about 10 km southeast of Kiel and about 5 km southwest of Preetz near the federal highway 404 from Kiel to Bad Segeberg. Although post box is located on the post see, part of the lake is not completely to the municipality.

History

The town emerged from the forest villages of the monastery Preetz, in whose possession they were from 1224 to 1325. The place was originally called Porsvelde. The forest villages were caused by deforestation in the Isarnhoe, the impenetrable forest.

1652 two residents of mail box were accused of being witches and probably executed.

1748, the school was first mentioned.

Policy

Of the nine seats in the municipal council, the SPD has since the municipal election 2008, five seats and the CDU four.
