Sasso di Castalda
Sasso di Castalda is a southern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 820 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the province of Potenza, in the Basilicata. The community is located about 19.5 kilometers southwest of Potenza and belongs to the Comunità montana Melandro. In the municipality of Basento springs.
History
1068 we find the first written reference, even if the area was inhabited in Roman times because of the nearby Via Herculea.
