Surge is a municipality in the Rhein- Hunsrück district, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Emmelshausen.

Geography

History

The town was first mentioned in 1300 under the name " Swalle ".

The lords of Eltz were in the 16th century elementary and court gentlemen in Leinigen and surge. later it belonged to the rule of the Counts von der Leyen.
