1995–96 WCHL season
The 1995/96 season was the first regular season of the West Coast Hockey League. During the regular season, the six regular WCHL teams denied each of 58 games, while a visiting team of Russian hockey players under the name Red Army took consisting against each of the other teams in return game. In the play-offs, the San Diego Gulls prevailed and won the first Taylor Cup in their history.
