1998–99 WCHL season
The 1998/99 season was the fourth regular season of the West Coast Hockey League. During the regular season, nine teams will contest should be 70, but the game plan due to the premature withdrawal of the Tucson Gila Monsters financial had to be changed. In the play-offs, the Tacoma Sabercats prevailed and won the first Taylor Cup in their history.
Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The Reno Rage stopped the game operation.
- The Alaska Gold Kings returned after one year of inactivity in the league back, been to Colorado Springs, Colorado, moved and changed their name to Colorado Gold Kings.
- The Bakersfield Fog changed their name to Bakersfield Condors.
- The Fresno Fighting Falcons returned to their original name Fresno Falcons.
