2005 Men's World Open Squash Championship

The 27 Squash World Cup (English PSA World Championship ) wins the men took place from 29 November to 4 December 2005 in Hong Kong instead. She was the most lucrative tournament in the PSA World Tour 2005.

Titleholder was Thierry Lincou, who reached the quarter-finals this year. World champion Amr Shabana was the Egyptians who defeated in the final of David Palmer with 11:6, 11:7 and 11:8. It was Shabanas second world title after 2003. Palmer had already triumphed in 2002. On the way to the final, he defeated Simon Parke, Olli Tuominen, Vice World Champion Lee Beachill and Peter Nicol. Palmer defeated in the preliminary rounds Laurens Jan Anjema, Mohd Azlan Iskandar, Anthony Ricketts and James Willstrop.

From Germany, Austria and Switzerland no participants were at the start.
