2008–09 CONCACAF Champions League
The CONCACAF Champions League in the 2008/2009 season was the first edition of this competition.
The tournament began in August 2008 with the qualification and ended with the second leg of the final end of April 2009. Winner CF Atlante qualified for the FIFA Club World Cup 2009.

Participants
In the CONCACAF Champions League 2008 /09 participated 24 teams. The teams came from North America, the Caribbean and Central America.
From the United States and Mexico, four teams qualified. The Caribbean zone led three teams. From Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Panama each took two teams participate. Canada, Belize and Nicaragua each had a team.

Schedule
Preliminary Round ( qualifying round)
The pairings for the qualifying round were drawn on June 11, 2008 in New York. The first legs took place between 26 August and 28 August 2008. The second legs were played from September 2nd to September 4.
After the qualifying round, the winners were already assigned to the seeded teams from the various encounters. It created four groups of four teams.

Quarterfinals
In the quarter-finals, the group winners played the runners-up, with the group winners in the return game had home advantage. Teams from the same group could not meet.
The first legs took place from February 24 to 26, the return matches from 3 to 5 March 2009.
Semifinal
The first legs took place on 7 and 8 April 2009 on 17 and 18 March, the return games.
