2009–10 Serbian SuperLiga

The Super League 2009/10 ( officially: Jelen Super Liga ) was the fourth season of the highest Serbian football league. 2009/10 played 16 teams for the title of the Serbian champion. Partizan Belgrade was by winning the doubles league and cup the previous season defending the Super League 2009/10. The season began on 15 August 2009, and ended on 16 May 2010.

Innovations

2009/10 first played 16 instead of 12 teams in the league. Therefore, the playing time for each team consisted of 30 instead of 33 games, because now the league as previously played only with round-trip round instead of 3 rounds. Because the League magnification there was BSK Borca with that, nachrückte for the sole relegated the previous season, Banat Zrenjanin, FK Smederevo, Mladic Radnik, Spartak Subotica and Metalac four newcomers from the second division.

Course of the season

2009/10 Partizan defended the title 22 times, becoming the football champions. Thus, the club continued to record champion with three titles in four years of the league. Partizan Belgrade was also undefeated in all 30 games. Already after the penultimate round of the club was no longer take you through a 3-0 at OFK Belgrade and a surprising 1-3 defeat of pursuers Red Star Belgrade against BSK Borca the title. As the first relegated newbie Mladic was clear Radnik, the club were missing at the end of five points on the saving 14th place, the Hajduk Kula occupied. In the second division Mladi Radnik Napredak Kruševac followed, which showed only a point behind Hajduk. While Partizan qualified for the UEFA Champions League, Cup Winners' Cup and reached runner-up Red Star, OFK Belgrade and Spartak Subotica, the UEFA Europa League.
