2011 Latvian Higher League

The Virsliga 2011 was the 20th season of the highest Latvian football league of gentlemen since its foundation in 1992. Officially bears the League name LMT Virsliga ( Latvijas Mobilais phone Virsliga ) and was discharged from the Latvian Football Federation. It was played from April 2 to November 5, 2011. Champion for the fourth time in the club's history of FK Ventspils.

Course of the season

The League comprised differently than the previous season, only nine teams. Current title holder was the most successful club of the Latvian capital, Riga discount. Up from the 1st League were the FC Jurmala and FB Gulbene, the previous year's seventh- placed SK Blāzma was denied the license.

The Championship was held in a regular time in two round and two rear round games. Each team came here four times against any other team. The-table remained in the relegation against the top places of the sub-prime 1st League successful, so there was no direct relegated in season 2011.

At the end of the regular season, the ninth -placed Virsliga kicked the winners of the 1st League in the relegation.
