2012 FIA GT3 European Championship season
The FIA GT3 European Championship 2012 was the seventh season of the FIA GT3 European Championship. Six events were held, in which two races were held. Thus, a total number of twelve races revealed.
The start of the season took place on 8 April in Nogaro, the season finale was held on 23 September at the Nürburgring.
Race Calendar
New on the calendar were the events in Nogaro, Zolder and Moscow. Were removed from the calendar Silverstone, Le Castellet and the Slovakia Ring. The season finale should first take place as in the previous year in Zandvoort, but after Terminänderumgen in the FIA GT1 World Championship race in Moscow has been brought forward and held the finals at the Nürburgring.
To follow all the races were held as part of the FIA GT1 World Championship. In the last two race weekends, the GT3 European Championship started in a common field with the FIA GT1 World Championship. This action was necessary due to the small number of starters in both championships.
