70th Venice International Film Festival
The 70th International Film Festival of Venice (Italian 70th Mostra Internazionale d'Arte Cinematografica ) took place between September 7, 2013 from 28 August. The Italian film director Bernardo Bertolucci was named as president of the jury after he had already been at the Film Festival in 1983 President. The opening film of Alfonso Cuarón was Gravity. The Italian actress Eva Riccobono hosted the opening and closing ceremony. The American film director William Friedkin was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
