Adrar Province

The Adrar (Arabic ولاية أدرار, DMG Wilāyat Adrar ) Province is a province ( wilaya ) in southwestern Algeria.

With an area of ​​443,782 km ², it is geographically the second largest province in the country. In the southwest it borders with Mauritania and Mali.

With around 380,000 inhabitants ( 2006 estimate ) but it is sparsely populated, the population density is less than 1 inhabitant per square kilometer.

The provincial capital is Adrar, other cities are Reggane and Timimoun.
