Ãgreda
Ágreda is a Spanish municipality in the province of Soria of the Autonomous Community of Castile -Leon. The town is a regional center in the northeast of the province.
History
In the area of the present town there was a Celtiberian settlement. In the Middle Ages Ágreda gained in importance as a border town between the kingdoms of Castile and Aragon as well as a major center for arts and crafts, where Christians, Muslims and Jews lived in peace, why Ágreda was also known as the city of three cultures.

- Church of San Miguel, built in Gothic style (15th century) with a Romanesque tower (12th century) and an altarpiece of the painter Pedro Aponte. A commissioned work for the Archpriest of Ágreda, Garcia Fernandez de Carrascón (approx. 1480-1533 ). Carrascons sarcophagus is located in a side chapel.

Personalities
- The Abbess María de Jesús was born in Ágreda, where she spent her whole life. Shortly after her death in 1665 she was recognized as a Servant of God by the Roman Catholic Church, beatification has hitherto not. María de Jesús was a consultant with King Philip IV in lifelong correspondence. About 600 of these letters have been preserved.
