Alcantara (Romblon)

Alcantara is a Philippine municipality and capital of the province of Romblon in the Administrative Region IV -B, Mimaropa. It has 15,428 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 12 barangays. It is classified as a community of the fifth income class in the Philippines and as a partially urbanized.

Alcantara is located in the southeast of the island of Tablas, the topography of the municipality is characterized by flat hilly terrain.
