Alfa Romeo Romeo

The Alfa Romeo Romeo is a small van, which the car manufacturer Alfa Romeo from 1954 to 1983 produced.

Alfa Romeo Romeo 1954-1966

Romeo 2 (1954-1966)

The vehicle has independent suspension and front wheel drive. As a power source, a two-cylinder two -stroke diesel engine was available with compressor except for a four-cylinder gasoline engine with two overhead camshafts. The gasoline engine is the same as in the Alfa Romeo Giulietta.

The first Romeo was as " Romeo ", " Romeo T10 " or " Autotutto ", most cars were built as " Romeo 2 " from 1954 to 1966. The " Romeo 3" with improved hydraulic there were only 1966.

A total of 23,000 copies in Italy and under license in Spain were of this first generation built in FADISA ( Fabricacion de Automoviles Diesel SA). The Spanish vessels had a different engine.

Romeo II F11/F12 A11/A12 1966-1983

Romeo F12 ( 1966-1983 )

In 1966 the second generation of the vehicle, which officially now F12 or A12 said. The doors were no longer backwards but forwards struck. The headlights were comprises a frame which also formed part of the grille. The closed versions were now called " Alfa Romeo F12" and the open versions of " Alfa Romeo A12 ".

From 1967 to 1971, the variants were additionally F11 and A11 are available which were also approved in the Italian city centers due to reduced payload and maximum performance.

In 1977, a final facelift the front with a black plastic grille and the Alfa emblem in chrome, and there were other headlight and bumper. The dashboard has been revised.

Production ended in 1983 and the Alfa Romeo AR6 replaced the model.

FADISA / Ebro F-Series

The Romeo was manufactured under license from Fabricacion de Automoviles Diesel SA ( FADISA ) in Spain, but he had here a Perkins diesel engine.

Ebro took over in 1967 and continued to build their FADISA models. So the Romeo II F11/12 and A11/12 now became the " Alfa Romeo Ebro F -100" in Spain. The facelift version of Romeo and A11/12 F11/12 of 1977, a slightly revised version of the Ebro, now produces under its own brand name as " Ebro F -108 ". Following the arrival of Nissan at Ebro as " Ebro F- Series." After the complete takeover of the Ebro by Nissan, the model was revised again to Nissan Trade which was built until 2004.

So ultimately, the construction, though always visually and technically altered, built for 50 years.
