Allmannsweiler

Allmannsweiler is a small municipality in the district of Biberach in Baden- Württemberg in Bad Buchau on Federseemuseum.

Geography

Allmannsweiler is located in a hilly moraine at the edge of Federseemuseum basin of the Valley of beer Stetter Bach near the Bussens.

History

The settlement was probably founded in the 8th century and well documented mention in 1268 as Albinswil first time, in 1292, she was named as Almswiler sure. Allmannsweiler belonged to the city Saulgau, came up with this in 1298 in the possession of the Habsburgs and was until 1746 part of Vorderösterreich. At this time the village belonged to the Official Beer Stetten and was from 1386 pledged to the Steward of Waldburg, in turn, from 1588 further pledged him to the Counts of rooms and the Lords of Koenigsegg. 1746 transferred the house Waldenburg possession and lordship of the monastery shot Ried. After the secularization of 1803, the community with the monastery came first to the Counts of Sternberg - Manderscheid, but never actually exercised dominion. 1806 Allmannsweiler was a sovereign state to the Kingdom of Württemberg, in 1814 gave the Counts of Sternberg of the Württemberg crown but also the possession. From 1806 until its dissolution Allmannsweiler was part of Oberamts Saulgau ( from 1938: County Saulgau ). On January 1, 1973, the community was part of the district of Biberach, but has curiously still the Saulgauer zip code.

Religions

The parish of the Holy Cross as the place for the first time in 1268 (?) And certainly mentioned in documents in 1292. Originally owned by the pen Buchau, it was sold in 1392 to the monastery shot Ried. The municipality is now a branch church of the parish of St. Sebastian in Bad Schussenried -Reichenbach in Biberach Deanery of the Diocese of Rottenburg- Stuttgart.

The evangelical Christians belong to the parish Bad Buchau the Dean Riedlingen the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Württemberg.

The place is heavily agricultural.

Culture and sights

  • Catholic branch church Holy Cross, Gothic church, probably built in 1392, with a Gothic tower from 1516 to 1517, in 1737 rebuilt in the Baroque style, extended from 1825 to 1826, renovated in 1969. Features: baptismal font in 1600, high altarpiece (second half of the 17th century ), Crucifixion ( Mary and John, second half of 17th century ), Strahlenmonstranz ( mid- 1740s - years), largely preserved organ of Alois Späth (1870 ), outside plaque for the fallen Russian campaign in 1812.
  • Wayside chapel on the road from Allmannsweiler to Ottobeurer yard.
