Geography
Geographical location
Mittelbiberach is located three kilometers west of the district town of Biberach an der Riss. Through the town flows coming from the rail Rotbach Forest, formerly called beaver creek, beaver because in it lived.
Community structure
The community Mittelbiberach is composed of the nucleus and of the parts of the municipality Oberndorf (1934 amalgamated ) and Reute (1973 ); this includes the hamlet of doubt mountain. see also doubt castle mountain
Origin of the name
The name Mittelbiberach goes back to the middle of the beaver creek and has therefore (nowadays: Rotbach ) his name as Biberach the beaver creek owe.
History
Mittelbiberach is first mentioned in documents in 1275. From about 1350, the town belonged to the lords of stone. About the Men of Andelfingen Mittelbiberach 1603 came to Hans Ludwig von Ulm, which should be Imperial Vice Chancellor later. His descendants owned the community to mediatization, the Kingdom of Württemberg acquired by the 1806 rule over the land.
On January 1, 1974, until then independent municipality Reute was incorporated into Mittelbiberach.
Religions
Mittelbiberach is dominated Roman Catholic. In the municipality there are two Catholic parishes, St. Cornelius and Cyprian Mittelbiberach and St. Nicholas in Reute.
For the few evangelical Christians, the church in Biberach is responsible.

Repented
Repented was first mentioned in documents in 1351. 1611 a large part of the population was carried off by the plague. From 1804 to 1973 was Reute own Schultheißerei to which until 1951 also Rindenmoos belonged. After the Second World War Rindenmoos applied to the district office in Biberach Conversely My Dung Reute after Rißegg. The then Municipal Council of Reute called for a severance payment, after which Rindenmoos had for 20 years to deliver 20 cubic meters of logs annually to the community Reute.

Museums
The profile Auto and Technik Museum ( closed since 2 January 2005) was preserved steam and diesel engines and automobiles, the three-wheeled Benz Patent Motor Car up to the Chevrolet Corvette and a 10 meter high diesel generator. In addition to a Bulldog exhibition were upstairs airplane models, as well as an original Mig -15, built in 1947, is shown.
