Amane Gobena

Amane Gobena (born 9 November 1982) is an Ethiopian long-distance runner who specializes in road races.

At the World Cross Country Championships, she was on the short-haul, 2002 in Dublin Eighth and Eleventh 2004 in Brussels.

In 2005, she won at the night of Borgholzhausen. In 2007, she was second in the Cooper River Bridge Run, 2008, she was second at Freihofer 's Run for Women and at Bolder Boulder and won the half marathon Le Lion.

The following year she was fifth at the Houston Marathon, second in the Los Angeles Marathon and set a course record with 2:28:30 hours at the Toronto Waterfront Marathon. They also came in eighth place at the RAK Half Marathon on the sixth and the Delhi Half Marathon.

In 2010 she won after a fifth place at the Zayed Half Marathon the Osaka Women's Marathon, the Seoul International Marathon and the Göteborgsvarvet. At the Istanbul Marathon she finished third. The following year, she won the Xiamen marathon and was tenth in Seoul.

After one and a half years break from competition, it was 2012 in Istanbul Second. 2013 followed a third place at the Dubai Marathon a seventh at the Paris Marathon.

Amane Gobena is 1,65 m tall, married and mother of a child. Since 2006, she is managed by Elite Sports Management International ( ESMI ).
