Andrea de Adamich

Andrea de Adamich ( born October 3, 1941 in Trieste ) is an Italian former race car driver.

De Adamich drove at various teams in Formula 1 First sporting success he achieved in the Italian Formula 3 Championship, which he won in 1965 in the period 1968-1973. His Formula 1 career was ended in 1973 by an accident at the Grand Prix of England when he suffered broken bones when triggered by a spin by Jody Scheckter mass collision on both legs.

In addition to his time in Formula 1, he drove very successful in 1968 discharged to 1975 World Championship of Makes for sports prototypes, sports cars and GT cars. He drove the last two years of the race series in which, among other things, Steve McQueen followed his passion for racing. In 1971 he won 33 two runs on his Alfa Romeo 111 points and was second in the overall standings, just beaten by Pedro Rodríguez.
