Andrea Kékesy

Andrea Kékesy (born 17 September 1926 in Budapest ) is a former Hungarian figure skater who started in a single run and pair skating.

In a single run Kékesy finished ninth in their single world championship is 1948. Twice she took part in the European Championships in 1948 and 1949 they finished seventh decades.

In pair skating, it was until 1949 Hungarian Champion with Ede Király in the years 1944 and 1947. In 1948 the pair skating in Prague became European Champion. At the World Cup in Davos and the Olympic Games in St. Moritz, they won the silver medal behind the Belgians Micheline Lannoy and Pierre Baugniet. 1949 defended Kékesy and Király in Milan their European Championship title in Paris and were world champions.

After the World Cup 1950 Kékesy and Király remained in London to escape the communist regime in their homeland.
