Animation Kobe
The Animation Kobe (Japaneseアニメーション 神戸, Animēshon Kobe ) is an annual event since 1996 in Kobe, Japan. During this event, which was created for promotion of anime and other visual media, the animation Kobe Awards (アニメーション 神戸 賞, Animēshon Kobe shō ) will also be awarded in various categories.
History
In 1995, the event was founded by a committee headed by Yasuki Hamano, whose task it was to advertise the entertainment industry together with the culture of animation. Since 1996, the event each year was held in Kobe over a longer period of time with each specially designed to do.
The first animation Kobe took place on 8 December 1996 Kobe Fashion Mart, located on Rokko Iceland instead. There Hideaki Anno was honored with the prize for the best individual performance in director of Neon Genesis Evangelion, the series was also awarded as the best series. The award for best film went to Ghost in the Shell. The special Prize went to Fujiko Fujio, who had created as a mangaka, among other Doraemon.
