Anne Heggtveit ( born January 11, 1939 in Ottawa, Ontario ) is a former Canadian alpine skier.
1954 won Heggtveit at the age of 15 years, surprising the giant slalom at the Holmenkollen. A serious leg injury forced her then in 1955 to a longer break from competition. Four years later, she won three Canadian championship ( downhill, slalom, combined ).
The greatest success of their sports careers celebrated Heggveit 1960 at the Olympic Winter Games in Squaw Valley when she was Olympic champion in slalom. In the non-Olympic Alpine combination she became world champion.
