Barbara Cochran

Barbara Ann Cochran ( born January 4, 1951 in Richmond, Vermont) is a former American alpine skier. She is the sister of the equally successful alpine skier Marilyn Cochran, Lindy Cochran and Bob Cochran.

The greatest success of her career, she celebrated at the Olympic Winter Games Sapporo in 1972 when she became Olympic champion in slalom. Previously, she had won the silver medal at the Alpine World Ski Championships 1970 in Val Gardena in the slalom.

In the Ski World Cup, she won three races, plus nine second and six third places.
