Annecy International Animated Film Festival

The Festival d' Animation Annecy is a 1960 founded the film festival in Annecy, France. It is the world's largest and most important festival for animated films.

Background

It is one of four international film festivals, the international of the Association du film d'animation ( ASIFA ) be sponsored. Until 1998, it was every two years since a year.

The films are divided into the following categories:

• Feature Films
• Short Films
• Movies for Television and Advertising
• Student Films
• Films for the Internet ( since 2002).

In all categories each year are awarded prizes.

Cristal d' Annecy - winners

The Cristal d' Annecy is considered the main prize of the festival. It is awarded to the best short film shown at the festival since the beginning of the festival in 1960. From 1960 to 1993, the prize was awarded as a grand prix, 1995 métrage to 2002 Grand prix du court. Its present name, the prize since 2003.
