Anthony Battaglia

Anthony Battaglia ( born August 15, 1979 in Chicago, Illinois ) is an American professional ice hockey player who is since December 2010 for the Tulsa Oilers of the Central Hockey League under contract.

Career

Anthony Battaglia began his career as a hockey player with the Soo Indians, for which he was active in the 1997/98 season in the Junior League North American Hockey League. Then the winger visited four years the Western Michigan University, for their team, he played in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. In the season 2002/ 03 he made his debut in professional hockey when he Lowell Lock Monsters of the American Hockey League and the Florida Everblades in the ECHL was parallel to the ice. From 2003 to 2008, the left gunner went to several clubs from the ECHL. These were the Mississippi Sea Wolves, Utah Grizzlies, Augusta Lynx and Columbia Inferno. In addition, the Americans finished the 2006/07 season at Manchester Phoenix from the British Elite Ice Hockey League.

After Battaglia had gone into the 2008/ 09 season for the Kalamazoo Wings of the International Hockey League for goals, he joined for the following season the Amarillo Gorillas of the Central Hockey League. For this he scored in 54 games 45 scorer points, including 13 goals. The following season he joined the Mississippi River Kings, before Battaglia was committed in December 2010 by the Tulsa Oilers, in which he runs together with his brother Bates Battaglia on the ice.

Family

Battaglia's brother Bates is also a professional hockey player. Her grandfather Sam was a well-known mafia boss and head of the Chicago Outfit, among others.
