Anton Rödin

Anton Rödin ( born November 21, 1990 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player who is since 2013 in Brynäs IF in the Svenska Hockey ligands under contract.

Career

Anton Rödin began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of Hammarby IF. In summer 2006, he moved to the youth department of Brynäs IF, with the U20 junior he was first runner-up in 2009 and eventually master the junior league SuperElit 2008. In the 2008 / 09 season, the winger was also his debut in professional hockey when he came as Players out on loan for the IK Oskarshamn in the HockeyAllsvenskan, the Swedish second division, for use in six games. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2009 in the second round than a total of 53 players from the Vancouver Canucks. In the 2009/10 season he was the first time during an entire season in the Elitserien on the ice and scored in his rookie year in a total of 41 games and two goals were four templates. He also ran for the second division Mora IK in eight games in which he scored two goals and gave as many templates.

On 2 June 2010 Rödin signed a three -year contract with the Vancouver Canucks, but remained first in his native Sweden and also played in the 2010/11 season for the Players out on loan as Brynäs IF in the Elitserien. For the 2011/12 season he was ordered by the Vancouver Canucks to North America, where he played until 2013 for their farm team Chicago Wolves in the American Hockey League. Dabie, he completed over 100 AHL games in which he scored 41 points scorer, but not a single game in the NHL. Therefore, he decided after his contract expires in a return to his original club.

Internationally

For Sweden Rölin took part in the U20 Junior World Cup 2010, where he won the bronze medal with his team. For this success he contributed three goals and seven assists in six games.
