Arriva Trains Wales

Arriva Trains Wales ( Welsh: Cymru Arriva Trenau ) is a British railway company. It is a subsidiary of Arriva and thus also of Deutsche Bahn and operates almost all regional and fast trains in Wales and adjacent areas in England, known as the Welsh Marches.

The company was formed in 2001, when Wales and West was divided into Wales and Borders and Wessex Trains. At the beginning, both companies were owned by the National Express Group. 2003 Arriva won the tender for the route network from Wales and Borders and the company notified immediately into Arriva Trains Wales. The concession runs until 2018.
