Castel Lagopesole

In the small courtyard is a disguise of rough stone dungeon with remarkable architectural sculpture, reminiscent of the Hohenstaufen castles in Alsace and the Palatinate. In Castel is since 2000 a museum and the Istituto di Studi Internazionale Federiciani ( IISF, Research Institute for the History of Hohenstaufen culture under Frederick II ) housed the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNRS, National Research Council of Italy ).
