Tito, Basilicata

Tito is a southern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 7289 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Potenza, in the Basilicata. The municipality is situated approximately 12 km west-southwest of Potenza. The municipality is part of the Comunità montana Melandro.

History

With the destruction of the place Satriano, the ancient Satrianum, in the early 15th century, the population grew significantly Tito.

Traffic

With the expressway, the Raccordo Autostradale 5 of Sicignano degli Alburni ( Autostrada A3) to Potenza, and the Strada Statale 95 di Brienza the community is well connected to the transport network in Italy. The Tito's train station is located just outside on the railway line Battipaglia - Potenza - Metaponto.
